Defense minister signs Polish army modernisation plan for 2021-2035

Poland's defense minister Mariusz Błaszczak on Thursday signed a Plan of Technical Modernisation of Polish Armed Forces for years 2021-2035. The plan assumes spending a total of 524 billion zlotys - in 2025 spending on modernisation are to equal 24 billion zlotys, and 50 billion in 2050.

Parliamentary elections in Poland are just round the corner. On Sunday, Poles will cast their votes to choose candidates they want to see in the Sejm and the Senate. According to Kantar poll for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24, the last one before elections, the ruling Law and Justice party would win with 40 percent of votes. Civic Coalition (KO) was represented by Izabela Leszczyna, Law and Justice (PiS) by Marcin Horała, Left by Adrian Zandberg (SLD), Confederation by Krzysztof Bosak and Polish People's Party (PSL) by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The debate was divided into four sections: health care, social policy and economy, climate and ecology, and rule of law.

Poll: Law and Justice in the lead, four parties in the Sejm

42 percent of respondents declared their support for Law and Justice in parliamentary elections, according to Kantar poll published by "Gazeta Wyborcza". Civic Coalition would secure 29 percent of votes, the Left - 13 percent, and Confederation - 5 percent. Polish People's Party-Polish Coalition would not make it to the parliament with 4 percent of votes.

EU Commission works on another complaint to ECJ against Poland - says EU source
